Casual Drivers

All Drivers Can Qualify for our Elite Fleet Bonus Program. Drivers qualifying, and it's easy, have the following added to their mileage pay on each trip:

Elite Fleet(See Elite Fleet 2000 Program) Annual Bonus for 12 months
48 State Including NYC $.05 $500
48 State NOT Including NYC $.04 $400
Casuals/Western/Dedicated $.03 $250

Annual Pay Increases: In addition to all of the above, drivers during their first five years of employment earn an additional $.01 / mile seniority each year.

All wages listed above include $.07/ mile per diem. For example, a starting wage of $.33 per mile for a three year experienced 48 state driver is $.26 wage plus $.07 per diem.

All Cargo Drivers are allowed to pick the level of benefits that fits their need. For those who choose benefits these are highlights:




Elite Fleet:
All Drivers are eligible to participate at no cost. This is a performance based bonus added to the drivers regular paycheck based upon time of delivery, safety record, miles, etc. Up to
$.05 / Mile!



Safety Bonus:
All drivers are eligible at no cost, and based upon safe driving. Pays up to $500/yr. Plus you earn a really nice leather and suede jacket.

Medical / Dental / Prescription Coverage:
Through Regence Blue Shield. Coverage starts at $25 per week. Mileage restrictions apply.


401-K:
Limited to full time employees. Company matches the first 4% of your pay with 100% matching!

Vacation Pay:
Limited to Full Time employees, $500 after one year, $750 after three, $1000 after five

Holiday Pay:
For Full Time employees, we pay $80 on each of seven holidays

Unloading Fees:
We pay for the hired unloading


Paydays:
We settle weekly and you choose a paycheck, direct deposit or we'll load your Comdata card! And between paydays, we do allow cash advances.

Fuel Bonus:
YES! If you average as little as 2% better than Fleet Average, you earn.



Cargo Bucks at the Cargo Store:
Just doing your job everyday will earn you Cargo Bucks which you can redeem at our terminal store for personalized shirts, sweaters, caps, jackets windbreakers and other accessories to make your job a bit more comfortable.



Terminal Facility:
We have a full kitchen and drivers' lounge at our new Boise facility. A wide screen TV and
WiFi internet access are available. Outdoors, enjoy our barbecue patio, horse shoe
throwing pit or enjoy some exercise on our basketball court!


Annual Awards Programs:
High Mile Drivers, Safe Drivers and Rookies all enjoy recognition on our Drivers' "Haul of Fame" plus cash awards and prizes at our annual recognition day.

Rider Policy / Pet Policy:
You bet, we've got both!


Drop and Hook:
90% of our freight is either out of or into trailer pools. So you'll do lots of dropping and hooking.

Truck Driver Training:
Got a spouse, friends or relative interested in a driving career? Affiliated with Cargo is Idaho Provisioners, a fully accredited and insured OTR driving school.
